COBB COUNTY (Ga.) – After a crash on Interstate 75 near Mount Paran Road, all northbound lanes have been reopened.
SKYFOX 5 flew above the scene at around 5 p.m., and spotted emergency vehicles blocking every lane.
Georgia State Patrol informed FOX 5 a gray Jeep Wrangler had been following a semi-truck white too closely when it struck the rear.
According to the witnesses and evidence on the scene, the driver of the Wrangler did not seem to have tried to stop. Atlanta Fire extracted the driver from the Jeep and transported him to hospital in critical condition.
The driver’s identity was not released.
Around 5:30 pm, one lane was opened. The busy interstate highway was reopened an hour later. The investigation into the cause of this crash continues.
